Everyone knows The Kenai Peninsula is famous for its sport fishing. Monster King salmon, giant Halibut, World class Rainbows, acrobatic Silvers and tackle busting reds, However there is so many other wonderful things to see and do while your staying on the Kenai. First If you like to hike we have world class hiking on the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge just a short half hour drive north from the town of Soldotna

Next if you want to have a super fun day go clam diging. Along the beaches of cook inlet from Kasilof all the way south to Anchor point live a wealth of razor clams both fun to dig and outstanding to eat this is a great way to spend the day, one of my family’s favorite things to do here on the peninsula.

Enjoy a round of golf we have three nice course’s right here in the Kenai Soldotna area. With almost 24 hours of daylight here in the summer you can start a round of golf at 10.00 pm and have plenty of daylight to finish.

Jump in a float plane and take a scenic flight over the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and the harding ice fields or head west over Cook Inlet and go spotting brown bears and moose in a vast expanse of wilderness on the Alaska Peninsula and Katmai Regions.

Spend a day in homer Alaska about  70 miles south of the Kenai Soldotna Area. Drive out to lands end on the Homer spit and spend the day shoping at the spits shops, art gallerys and tourist oriented businesses.

Go to seward about 90 miles north west of Soldotna and take a Glacier tour. Snowcapped mountains, calving glaciers, whales. Mountain goats, Bears eagles, Sea birds its truly amazing , on a sunny day im sure Reserection bay has to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

Drive to Girwood home of Alyeska Resort Alaska’s largest ski resort. For the adventurous spend a day down hill mountain biking chair lift acsessed or ride the tram up for a romantic five star dinner at seven glaciers restaurant Atop mount Alyeska.

So come to Alaskas’s Kenai peninsula and have the time of your life fish, fly, bike .hike boat, explore and have the time of your life here on the Kenai.
