One of the things I love about fishing here on the Kenai peninsula is the different Alaska fishing seasons. Each month we fish, may-sep offers a different experience on both rivers Kenai or the Kasilof.  Kings, Silvers, Rainbows, driftboat or powerboat, tidewater or head water from spring thaw to fall freeze it’s constantly and ever changing. Scroll down to find which season would best fit for you.

King Salmon:  May 1-July  31 Kings are our Specialty.  We generally fish Kings on the Kenai River in a power boat and fish the Kasilof River in a drift boat.  Kenai Kings require some patience as the fishery is more of a Trophy Fishery.  They can weigh anywhere between 20-80+ pounds.

Silver Salmon: Aug 1-Sept 30
Silvers start entering the Kenai and Kasilof River in late July.  Silver Salmon are a favorite among locals.  They are known for their wild acrobatics and are excellent table fare.  Silvers typically weigh between 8-15 pounds and on light tackle are a blast.

Pink Salmon: Aug 1-Sept 30 EVEN years ONLY
Pinks are a great fish to catch because of their high numbers and quick bite.  They are best eaten Fresh or Smoked.  Pinks weigh between 3-10 pounds.

Trophy Trout:  Aug 1-Oct 30
Species Fished:  Rainbow, Dolly Varden and Arctic Char.  Besides all of the world class Salmon to be caught on the Kenai Peninsula we also have a spectacular Trout fishery.  All trout fishing is kept to a catch and release basis unless a trophy is caught and the client wishes to mount it.  If you will be targeting trout we suggest September as this month typically provides the hottest Trout fishing.  These fish range from 1 pound up to 15 pounds.

Halibut: April 15-Sept 1
For these Giants we fish the waters of Cook Inlet.  Many clients will opt to do at least a day of Halibut.  They taste great and make for an interesting day of fishing.  We recommend that all fishermen be in good health as this fishery can be very physically demanding.

Fly-Out Fishing: Species fished depends on time of year
For those of you who would like to fly to a remote area on an Alaskan bush plane we will be glad to add that to your package.  There will be an additional 200.00 added to cover the extra cost for this option.

Trout/Silver Combo Day Option: Late August and September
This trip option is truly a great fishing experience.  You start in the morning and get a couple of Sivers then you will switch over to trout gear and fish for trout. This trip will be charged an extra 100.00 to account for extra time and expense of this trip.  This is considered a Full Day trip

King/Halibut Combo Day Option:  May and Early June
This trip is awesome.  We will go out into the Cook Inlet and catch a limit of Halibut then return to the shallows and try and catch us some Kings.  What an amazing day to catch your limit of Halibut then catch a limit of Kings.  This trip is not to be missed.  This trip will be option is $100.00 extra to account for extra expense and time.  This is considered a Full Day Trip.
