Hello Anglers, well spring is in the air here in Alaska on the magnificent Kenai Peninsula and before long the 2023 fishing season will be here. So I want to encourage you to get your fishing dates set and all your plans locked down for the 2023 fishing season. We still have a bunch of great dates wide open so give me a call and get your spots in the book. So as many of you probably know King Salmon fishing has been closed on the Kenai River for the 2023 season in an attempt to boost future returns. However we will still be fishing for King Salmon in may and June on the Kasilof River and we have a bunch of open dates for that fishery so if you want to get some King Salmon fishing in this summer I encourage you to give me a call and I can get in some very prime dates for Kasilof River King Salmon fishing. Next I wanted to talk about a couple other trips that we offer here at Jim Rusk Fishing, everyone knows that we offer a variety of Salmon and Trout fishing trips on the Kenai River and the Kasilof River but what many do not know is we also offer a chance to fish some very cool mountain lakes on the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. If you are the kind of person that values a truly wild and beautiful setting away from crowds and can enjoy a day of catch and release these are a great trip option, and a chance to experience some amazing water that most never get to see. We target Lake Trout, Char, Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden depending on which Lake we fish. So I highly recommend these mountain Lakes if you want a truly unique and wild Alaska fishing trip. Okay well that is all I have today, give me a call and get your dates in the book for the 2023 fishing season here on the Kenai Peninsula here in Alaska.
