Hello Kenai River Anglers it is late march here on the Kenai the temps are warm the snow is melting and the mighty Kenai River is breaking open and before long will  be ice free. Soon I will be able to pull out my Kenai River power boat and my Kasilof River Drift boat and begin all the pre season maintenance. So do you have plans to fish here on the Kenai Peninsula this summer? If you said yes well it is time to get your trip booked we still some great dates open but they will not be open long so do not wait get your guide your lodging your rental car and your flights booked now! Have you decided when or what species you want to target. Maybe you want to avoid the crowds and come early season to fish for early run King Salmon on the Kasilof River and possibly hit some of the less traveled lakes for Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char or Lake Trout all a great option. Or you want to come in mid June for the Kenai River Rainbow Trout opener on the 16th and possibly target some first run Sockeye Salmon on the Kasilof River or the Kenai River. Next you could come in July, always more busy but usually hot fishing for Sockeye Salmon from mid july till mid August. And of course mid August all the way thru September always a solid choice for some great Silver Salmon fishing or some Trophy Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden fishing. and Finally again if you are looking to avoid the crowds October especially the first two weeks can be a great choice, Silver Salmon will most likely be a bit slower than August and September but can still be pretty good and the Silvers are typically big fat fish. So which month appeals to you, have you decided, would you like more info well give me a call and lets talk about it!
