Hello Kenai River Anglers, Well spring is in the air here in Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula, and the 2026 Kenai River fishing season will be here very soon. Are you planing an Alaska fishing trip for 2026 here on the Kenai Peninsula, Do you want to go Salmon fishing and if so what species? Maybe you want to do Kenai River Sockeye Salmon or maybe Kenai River Silver Salmon, or maybe you want to fish for early run King Salmon on the Kasilof River or Kasilof River Sockeye Salmon. Possibly you’re more interested in fishing for Rainbow Trout on the Kenai River or Dolly Varden and Arctic Char on the Kenai River. Or perhaps you’re looking for fishing that is more off the beaten path and would be interested in fishing for Lake Trout up on the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. And lets not forget about all the salt water fishing the Kenai peninsula has to offer halibut, Salmon, Rockfish, Cod just to name a few, and all the places to fish the saltwater, Homer, Seward, Ninilchik, Anchor point, and Whittier. Also maybe you are interested in joining one of our local flight services to explore all the Salmon and Trout fishing streams and lakes on the west side of Cook Inlet, and of course just a day of flight seeing and bear viewing is another great option. If you are planning on visiting us on the Kenai have you decided what month you want to visit us here in Alaska, Fishing starts here on the Peninsula in May and continues al the way in to October. Each month of the summer is totally different and provides different angling opportunities and species so you will want to do your homework and make sure you’re coming at time that best meets your expectations. Also have you decided where you want to stay, will you be wanting an air b&b or maybe your lookin for a cabin on the Kenai River, or possibly a hotel in town close to shopping and dinning is what would work best so many options. Were you planning on a car rental if so will you rent in Anchorage and drive to the Kenai or maybe you want to fly to the Kenai from Anchorage and rent your car in Kenai, So many options.
