May and June will be Kasilof River King Salmon, Also in may and early June some of our local Lakes offer some great Lake Trout fishing and Rainbow Trout and arctic Char. And one of my favorites is the Kenai River Rainbow Trout opener on June 16th. First run Sockeye Salmon start entering the Kenai River in early to mid June. May and June offer some of the best Saltwater fishing of the season for Halibut and rockfish. In July the main focus these days is Sockeye Salmon lots of Sockeye in both the Kenai River and the Kasilof River. Moving on to August we will again be fishing for Sockeye Salmon at least until the 15th then transitioning to Silver Salmon also we will have large numbers of Pink Salmon in the the Kenai River, Also the Rainbow Trout fishing is usually very good in the Kenai. September is all about Silver Salmon and should be good till October. Also the Rainbow Trout fishing should be very good.
