Fort Myers – On the Flats Again

Hi everyone:  Well summer fishing is over here in Alaska and in a couple days I will be heading south for the fishing in sunny Florida Fort Myers fishing.
I can not wait to launch my boat and head out for fishing in the waters off  Pine Island Sound near Fort Myers. There is nothing like casting a fishing line to tailing Redfish on the the many shallow oyster beds in the area. Or alternatively for drifting live bait along the edges of the mangroves to tempt the favorite fish around Fort Myers – the snook.

And then of course you have the large populations of Speckled Sea Trout that roam the flats and mangroves waiting to devour an easy meal. Fort Myers Florida truly is a fisherman’s paradise. I thoroughly enjoy being a Fort Myers fishing guide, after spending my summers in Alaska. It’s so nice to go out on the boat wearing a t-shirt, shorts and some flip flops. Just throw on a little sunscreen and your good to go for the day.

Well thats all I got for now, hope to see you for some Fort Myers fishing this winter on the sun drenched waters of Pine Island sound in beautiful Florida.
