Hi everyone well we are in full King Salmon mode here on The Kenai and Kasilof Rivers. After having very good first runs of King Salmon on both the Kenai River and Kasilof River we are all very optomistic that our second run of King Salmon will also be very good. The last couple of weeks we have been dealing with some dirty water conditions on the Kenai and also low numbers of returning King Salmon on both the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers, however this is normal for this time of year as we have been in between the first and second runs of King Salmon. Despite slower fishing we have still managed to catch nice fish almost every day so for a typically slow time on the rivers it has not been that bad. In the last few days we have seen an increase in the numbers of returning King Salmon and the water clairity has improved and is back in good shape. Expectations are high for good fishing this next week on both the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers for King Salmon. Also this week we should start to see an increase in the numbers of returning Sockeye Salmon to the Kenai River and Kasilof and that fishery should start to get more productive. We also are getting more and more Rainbow Trout moving down to the lower Kenai and that fishing should be very good for those that want to do some RainbowTrout fishing this week. Okay that is all I got folks everything is on schedule and looking good for a great time Salmon and Trout fishing here on Alaska’s Kenai and Kasilof Rivers.
