Kenai Fishing May – June 2015 in Alaska
I took only one trip on the middle Kenai River for Rainbow Trout. Most of my time has been spent fishing for King Salmon on the lower Kasilof River. And the fishing has been great.
The first week of the Kenai fishing May-June 2015 was slow as to be expected at this early time of the year. However, the last couple of weeks have been exceptionally good fishing. Yesterday’s fishing on the Kasilof was by far my most productive day. We hooked six King Salmon and after tremendous fights we landed four of them.
Also, today we caught our first Sockeye Salmon of the season. Next week we’ll start doing some Sockeye trips as well.
Fishing should continue to improve and catches will increase in the next few weeks.
