Hi everyone well we are in full fishing mode here on the Kenai in Alaska. Last weekend over the holiday I guided Anglers for Lake Trout on Hidden Lake on the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and fishing was very good, we caught a bunch of Lake Trout over the course of three days and had a great time, they are not as big as our King Salmon but on light tackle are very fun, and the fishing was great. This week I fished everyday on the Kasilof River for King Salmon and although the fishing is not hot we were able to have some action every day we fished and were able to keep some nice King Salmon over the course of the week. Sockeye Salmon have not started showing in any big numbers yet but we did catch one while fishing for King Salmon. This next week I anticipate that the King Salmon fishing on the Kasilof River and the Kenai River should improve each day. Rainbow Trout are currently closed as they are spawing this time of year but will open on the 15th of June and should be good. I am still getting good reports from the Saltwater Halibut and King Salmon fisheries also. Okay well that is the fishing report from here on the Kenai in Alaska.
