Hi everyone well we are now in the month of April and fishing season here on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers is only about a month and a half away. As I am writing this chrome bright King Salmon are surely entering the waters of Cook Inlet and Kachemak bay, feeding and staging till the time comes when they make their long awaited migration to the mighty waters of the Kenai River and the Kaslof River here in Alaska. Well as you all know we are in the midst of a global pandemic with this covid 19 bug and it is hard to predict when things will be back to normal. One positive thing I can report is we have had very little covid 19 in Alaska and hopefully that will continue. One thing I know for sure is as long as the River is open to fish I will be here and Jim Rusk Fishing will be open for business if at all possible. So lets all keep our fingers crossed that this thing will so be over and we can have another great fishing season here on the Kenai River and the Kasilof River in  Alaska. I can’t wait to have that first strike of the season and yell two of my favorite words Fish On! There is nothing more exciting than that first King Salmon of the season screaming line of the reel, makes my pulse rate spike just thinking about it. King Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Silver Salmon, Pink Salmon, Trophy Rainbow Trout you name it we catch it here at Jim Rusk Fishing. So this season here in Alaska will be my 33rd consecutive season as a fishing guide here in Alaska as a Salmon and Trout guide please help me make it a good one lets go fishing, take care everyone and see you this summer!
