Hi everyone well we are just a few days away from the start of the 2020 fishing season. The Kenai river and the Kasilof river are both ice free and flowing, and in a couple weeks we will be out on the Kenai and Kasilof chasing those first King Salmon of the season. Nothing gets me more excited than that first strike of the year. My earliest King Salmon catch on the Kenai River was May 2nd and usually any time after the 10th I feel like I have a good chance of catching King Salmon on the Kenai River or the Kasilof River. King Salmon and Halibut are already being caught in the Homer and Ninilchik saltwater fisheries, and things will surely start to happen in the Kenai River and Kasilof River fisheries very soon. Also we are just days away from our lakes being ice free which means it will soon be time to get some open water Lake Trout fishing in yay! Early spring Lake Trout fishing is always one of my favorite trips of the year, and as soon as the lakes are ice free it will be time to hook the boat up and head out for a great day on the water chasing Lakers around. We still have many great dates open for the 2020 fishing season so if your planning to get out on the water this spring or any month throughout the season please give me a call and lets go fishing here in Alaska either on one of the local lakes or on the mighty Kenai River or the always wonderful Kasilof River. Call now and lets go fishing!
