Hello Alaska Anglers, Well it is that harvest time of year here on the Kenai and the annual Sockeye Salmon harvest is in full swing. The Kenai River Sockeye Salmon Run started early this year and we have been getting good catches for several weeks now. But now the big numbers of Sockeye Salmon are pushing in to the Kenai River and my last three trips have been absolutely on fire with very fast limits of six per person. My guess is the fishing will continue to be very good for the next two or three weeks and maybe more. As for other Salmon species we have not seen any Pink Salmon or Silver Salmon yet but I’m expecting any day we will start to see some numbers of those as well making the Kenai River literally loaded with fish. So bottom line if you want to get out on Alaska’s Kenai River and harvest some awesome Salmon for the freezer this is a great time, so give us a call and lets get you out on the Kenai River and put some Sockeye Salmon in your freezer!
