Hello Kenai River Anglers, Well the Summer is going by so fast and I can not believe it is already August here on the Kenai. Once again we have enjoyed another great run of Sockeye Salmon in the the Kenai River. The Sockeye Salmon came early this year and they are still coming  although it feels like they are finally slowing down however we still have been getting good catches. Also despite great numbers of Sockeye this year we also enjoyed the Sockeye Salmon being big this year lots of big fat hard fighting fish. Now what I’m most excited to share with you is that we did a Silver Salmon  trip yesterday and came up just one fish short of a limit so I think it is safe to say the Silver Salmon are showing up in the Kenai River which is perfect timing just as the Sockeye are slowing down. Silver Salmon fishing on the Kenai River is my favorite time of year I love fishing for Silvers. Silver Salmon fight hard and eat really good and are very fun to catch. So if you have not done a Kenai River Silver Salmon trip I highly recommend you give it a try so fun. We have enjoyed a pretty nice summer here on the Kenai not a lot of rain and not to hot just perfect fishing weather which has also led to great water conditions low and clear it has been very nice compared to the last few summers of heavy rain and high and dirty water conditions. Okay well that is the fishing report from here on the Kenai in Alaska things are looking great and we should have a wonderful fall here on the mighty Kenai River in Alaska.
