Kenai River Fishing Season Starting for the King Salmon
Hi everyone,
Well, winter is over in Alaska and things are quickly shifting into the season for Kenai River Fishing for King Salmon. I’m running a great special for early Spring King Salmon fishing. Both the Kenai River and the Kasilof River are free of ice and looking stunningly beautiful as they always are at this time of year. The King is the largest salmon in the world and the Kenai River is the home of the all-tackle world record. We work extremely hard for salmon strikes, and the river will make you pay your dues in terms of the energy you use. However, when you hookup on one of these monsters the experience is like nothing else in the fishing world.

I had a great winter fishing season in Fort Myers, Florida that is almost as good as fishing on the Kenai River. I had some amazing fishing for Redfish, Snook, Speckled Trout, and Tarpon. For those of you who want to get out of the cold next winter and have some great warm water fishing, I highly recommend you come down and spend a few days with me in Fort Myers. Out there beyond the beach are the awesome fishing grounds of Pine Island Sound, Captiva Island, Useppa Island and more.

But that all being said about Florida, I’m excited to be back in Alaska and cannot wait to get out to do Kenai River fishing again. The chase for the King Salmon, even the thoughts of the chase, is enough to get your heart pumping like a well-tuned car engine.
I’ve got the power boat and drift boat ready to go, and I’ll start guiding fishermen on the Kenai and Kasilof rivers next week. I love the early spring King Salmon trips. It always feels so good to be back on the rivers that I love after a long winter absence.
Big fish, low and clear water, very few people and great scenery always make for a great Kenai River fishing day on the water.
I am running a great special for early Spring King Salmon fishing charters for both the Kenai River and the Kasilof River.
If you’re interested in getting out this Spring for some early Kings, now is the time to give me a call and book your Spring Special Kenai fishing trip or Kasilof fishing trip.
