Hello Anglers, as many of you have probably heard King Salmon fishing on the Kenai River will not be open for the 2023 fishing season. Due to poor returns the last few years the Alaska department of fish and game has decided to not open King Salmon fishing on the Kenai River for the 2023 season in an attempt to ensure future returns for the Kenai River. So if you wanted to get in an Alaska King Salmon fishing trip this summer the Kasilof River is where you would want to be. If you have never fished the Kasilof River I highly recommend booking a King Salmon trip on the Kasilof in may or June. As it stands now we will be allowed to use bait and the limit will be 2 King Salmon per person. We fish the Kasilof River in non motorized drift boats and if you have never fished for King Salmon out of a drift boat let me just say it is a blast! The peak time to fish the Kasilof River for King Salmon is May 16th thru thru about June 20 although some years it can be good even later in June. So if you want to fish for King Salmon in 2023 I would suggest calling me and reserving your dates soon as the best dates will be booking up soon, so give me a call and lets go fishing for King Salmon on the Kasilof River this spring in Alaska!
