Hello Kenai River anglers,I hope everyone is wintering well and that your stash of salmon fillets is holding out. Well it is mid February and the 2025 fishing season on the Kenai River will be here before we know it. I just got my 2025 Kenai River guide license last week, so that is all taken care of. 2025 will be my 39th season as a fishing guide on the Kenai River and other local Alaskan waters. Sadly we will again not be having a King Salmon season on the Kenai River due to poor run predictions. However will will be getting anglers on the Kasilof river for King Salmon in may and June. I again will be running Lake Trout trips on the Kenai National Wildlife refuge in may and June. Then in mid June we will be fishing the Rainbow Trout opener on the middle Kenai River. Sockeye Salmon trips will start in late June on the Kasilof River and then shifting to the Kenai River by mid July. We will continue to target Sockeye Salmon until mid August. Finally we will fish for Silver Salmon thru August and September. And of course if you’re putting a multi day fishing trip together and want to get out on the Saltwater for Halibut and Salmon as well as some other species we can always help you put that together.
