Hello Kenai River Anglers, well it is late July here on the Kenai and t5he fishing is on fire! Late run Kenai River Sockeye Salmon are running very strong at this time and if you have not yet filed your freezer now is the time the fishing is just fantastic. Kenai River Sockeye Salmon should continue to be good for at least a couple more weeks so get down here and get your fish it is game on. I have not yet picked up Silvers in the Kenai River anytime now. The troll fishery at Skilak Lakefor Sockeye Salmon has been steadily improving and should get hot this week as large numbers of Sockeye will be arriving there every day now. If you have never tried fishing for Sockeye while trolling I highly recommend it is a blast. Also Rainbow Trout fishing on the Kenai River has been improving and should get hot very soon. Well that is the fishing report from here on the Kenai, things are looking great and should continue that way for quite some time.
