Hello Anglers, well I’m excited that starting July 1st King Salmon will again be open to fishing on the Kenai River. We are excited to get back on the Kenai River and fish for King Salmon the first few days in after opening should be good. Due to the Covid 19 situation we have lots of open days the next few weeks that would normally be full also I would guess that traffic on the Kenai River will be abnormally low so it might be a great time to book a King Salmon trip and and get out for a fun day of King Salmon fishing on the Kenai River. Also we have been doing some Trophy Rainbow Trout trips on the middle Kenai River and the fishing has been very good with lots of nice Rainbows and Dolly varden. First run Sockeye Salmon are slowing down now but you can still catch some Sockeye on the upper Kenai River at the confluence of the Russian River. Second run Sockeye Salmon should start to show up on the lower Kenai River in a couple weeks in good numbers. Over on the Kasilof River first run King Salmon has slowed down but should improve soon as the second run King Salmon start to show up. Sockeye Salmon fishing on the Kasilof River has been not hot but decent and limits are being caught if you are persistent. Well that is the Fishing report for the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers, it is a great time to take advantage of the the low traffic on the rivers and get out on the water for a fun day of fishing call now to reserve your spot.
